This property is NOT 3*** the pictures are 100% inaccurate. There is no Wifi, the furniture is filthy, the carpets are mouldy, there are birds and bats nesting in the cottage we were assigned that had defecated everywhere and the mess had not been cleaned. The linen was not changed from the previous clients. The property is 10 meters away from a local settlement which in South Africa is a safety risk. We arrived at 6.30pm and left again at 6.45pm. I left with my family and the keys to the cottage to look for alternate accommodation as I was concerned about our safety and our health. Once I found alternate accommodation I contacted the owner, Werner, immediately to cancel our booking. This was within 2 hours of checking into Kolfsig Holiday Cottages. He requested I contact booking.com to cancel the booking which I immediately did. The following morning at 8am I drove back to drop off the keys as organised with Werner the previous evening and had to drive into the town to find the manager as he was not at the property. Werner subesquently assured me that I would get a full refund. Today he has decided that a refund will not be granted as the booking was not cancelled and he suggested I leave a bad review here and he will reply with his side of the story. No only did I go out of my way to do the correct thing, I have been courteous and patient all along. My holiday with my children was ruined and I get asked to leave a bad review! Now that is the most expensive review I have ever had to leave and it is also the only bad review I have ever left. If you are thinking about going to Graskop please think carefully before booking with Kloofsig Holiday Cottages as this property is a security and a health risk. I guess I got of lightly with paying R5690.00 for 15 minutes. If we had stayed perhaps one of us would have ended up in hospital or worse perhaps even robbed, raped or murdered. I saved the entire year for this time away with my kids and all I got was a request to leave a bad review. Obviously Booking.com does not do regular checks on the properties they advertise, so my only request is that Booking.com review this property as it is completely false advertising.This property is NOT 3*** the pictures are 100% inaccurate.
