I recently obtained a quote from JKJ Express in Polokwane, to collect a number of parcels (47, same size and weight) from Krugersdorp to Polokwane.
I was pleased with the service and professionalism of the staff and the quote was reasonably cheaper than my current weekly charges.
A couple of days later, I was ready and arranged for JKJ to transport 37 parcels, to assess their service.
Monday the 10th of June, JKJ collected my parcels.
Tuesday the 11th of June, I was contacted to settle may account before deliver.
You can imagine my surprise when the invoice for 37 parcels was more than 60% more than the quote for 47 parcels.
I pointed this out to the Operations gentleman, Jacques who insured me to take it up with the General Manager.
He contacted me back a short while later, now the invoice was 55% more expensive than the quote(42% more than the competition).
He could not explain to me why there was such a difference and assured me that was the best JKJ could do.
The GM could not even call me to explain the MASSIVE difference between the quote and the Invoice.
I went into the branch to discover that the GM had left.
The staff were very professional and could not explain the MASSIVE difference.
If you ever get a quote from JKJ, don't Trust that the quote/estimate will be close to that of what will actually be invoices.
Shop around, the competition in 42% cheaper than JKJ, with the same efficiency and professionalism.
JKJ is not worth the effort....stay away.
