Booked for the 25-27 Dec 2022- On arrival the rooms were dirty with cockroaches and cockroach droppings in the bedding. The kitchen was not cleaned and the sugar sachets looked as of rats bit through- Shower was not working- No staff on hand to contact therefore could not stay there that night and had to find alternative place to sleep. Considering we were coming from Johannesburg, this posed a major challenge. The owner called the following day an upgraded the room to a suite and gave us an extra night to compensate for the previous night that we didnt stay. The suite was beautiful and spacious but once again cleanliness was an issue- The main bedroom had rat droppings all over the headboard and the kitchen was infested with cockroaches.Kitchen dishes were dirty and food crumbs were all over the kitchen counter and stove from the previous guests stay. Management needs to pay careful attention to maintaining the hygiene as the rodent and cockroach infestation as well as poor attention to cleaning rooms from previous guests stay poses a health hazard to guests .
